Shalom and Welcome to Beit Knesset Shalom Jewish Synagogue

Beit Knesset Shalom  is incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act 1981.

Founded in 1973, Beit Knesset Shalom (BKS) is located in the state capital of Brisbane, BKS is involved in the broader Brisbane Jewish community with members active in many communal organisations. The first services in our synagogue premises at 13 Koolatah Street, Camp Hill were conducted in 1978. In 2002 the congregation changed its name from Temple Shalom to Beit Knesset Shalom synagogue.

In the Laurie Rosenblum OAM Resources Centre and Zisel Miszkowski Library, BKS maintains an extensive library of books, videos and DVDs on Jewish topics.

The Bernie Jacks OA Hall at the back of our synagogue is used for education classes, fun music nights and other Jewish events.

BKS maintains the only Lawn Jewish Cemetery and memorial gardens in Brisbane.
